Friday Class

Today in science, the students will be giving their volcano presentations in small groups. The students will take turns presenting their research. As the students wait for their turn to present they will view volcano videos from the following websites:

Wednesday Class

Today, the students will continue working on their volcano activity. Tomorrow the students will give their presentations and complete a volcano graphic organizer.

Tuesday Class

The students continued to work on their volcano activity. The students will have tommorow to finish their poster and they will present on Thursday.

Monday Class

Today in science, the students will be introduced to the volcanoes activity they will be working on this week. Each student will be assigned to work in a group. They will work with this group to create a presentation and poster about their assigned type of volcano (shield, cinder cone, composite). The presentations will begin on Thursday.

Thursday Class

Today, we started our lesson on earthquakes. The students completed an earthquake webquest.

Wednesday Class

Today in science, we reviewed the "3 Types of Mountains" graphic organizer. Then, the students answered the question "How can the movement of tectonic plates form mountains?" through a 2 minute quick write. Lastly, the student took a mountain building quiz.

Tuesday Class

Today in science we watched a digital lesson on mountain building. In addition, the students worked on a graphic organizer about the three types of mountains.

The graphic organizer is due tomorrow.

Monday Class

Today in science, the students worked their vocabulary review sheet. In addition, we read a brief article about the different types of mountains.

The students are to hand in their vocabulary review sheet tomorrow.

Friday Class

Today in science the students will be taking the Earth Structures Retake Test. The students will also be using their textbooks to finish their vocabulary review sheet. Once the students finish their work they watched Earth science videos from the following websites:
